We understand that confronting issues is a difficult task, and it is common that you and your partner may feel uneasy about coming to counselling. Our couple's counsellors strive to create a non-judgmental, safe and neutral setting enabling you and your partner to discuss complex and sometimes very painful issues in a contained and constructive way.

Couples often find it easier to speak to each other in the presence of a therapist, and thereby discuss issues and topics that need to be addressed. Being able to let your guard down and feel safe with your partner opens the door for intimacy and reconnection to take place.

Our trained marriage and family therapists can help with:

  • Marital dissatisfaction and malaise
  • Marriage assessment – evaluating compatibility/incompatibility
  • Pre-marital counselling
  • Deciding when to separate – negotiating the separation
  • Adjusting to retirement and other issues of mature couples
  • Help with difficult family decisions
  • Long distance relationships
  • Coping with a love triangle
  • Relationship coaching
  • Coping when one partner is seriously ill, depressed, eating disorder, suffering from childhood trauma or another medical or psychiatric condition
  • Relationship/marriage tune-up or check-up

Our therapists are thoroughly trained and well experienced in couple’s and family therapy. Each therapist is a member of Ontario Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
